Day 1 - Friday the 22nd of November 1200-2100
We started our first day in studio pretty easy... Having problems with his arm Eystein went to acupuncture, and Alf Helge had to spend som time in bed after his graveyard-shift... Eystein also went to the local guitar shop to get some accoustic guitars for one of our songs. Bjørnar finally got his brand new Yamaha baritone guitar from Germany in the mail just hours before starting! After getting our equipment to the studio we decided to concentrate
on the recording of the drums in the first place. We managed to record the drums on "I lytinne två", "I trollehender" and "Skomegyvri" during the last 4 hours.

Day 2 - Saturday the 23rd of November 1000-2400
Bjørnar and Eystein started the second day having their guitars set up by a professional guitar maker while Espen prepared a midi-track for the intro; "Det var Irlands kongi bold". Alf Helge recorded the drums on "Kampen mot bergetrolli" and after a long discussion about guitar-sound both Bjørnar and Eystein recorded the guitars on this track.

Day 3 - Sunday the 24th of November 1000-0100
Eystein recorded the accoustic guitars on "Det er ingin dage". He used both a 6 and 12 string guitar to get a nice, rich sound for this track. Espen G. recorded the synth on this song as well. Espen H. tuned in to the right bass-sound and recorded his first song, "Kampen mot bergetrolli". In the middle of the day Vibeke suprised us with her skills and made us some really good waffles!

Day 4 - Monday the 25th of November 0930-0130
Today we continued recording drums; "Olafs belti", "Fagran fljotan folen" and "Det er ingin dage". Eystein and Bjørnar recorded some guitar tracks after the drums were finished.

Day 5 - Tuesday the 26th of November 0930-0230
Recorded drums on 3 songs; "Det var Irlands kongi bold", "Slepp meg" and "Ormin lange". Eystein had his guitar set up again, as he has some intonation problems... Espen H. recorded some more bass.

Day 6 - Wednesday the 27th of November 1030-0700
Today we unfortunately had to re-record some drums, as we weren`t 100 % satisfied. We also had some computer problems that caused delays as everything is recorded in Cubase SX.. Bjørnar recorded guitars until 0700 in the morning...

Day 7 - Thursday the 28th of November 1000-0700
Recorded the last drums. Eystein recorded a lot of guitars, and Bjørnar recorded during the night...

Day 8 - Friday the 29th of November 1200-0730
Recording of bass...

Day 9 - Saturday the 30th of November 1130-
Espen H recorded some bass and Espen G recorded his synths in another room in the studio. Bjørnar worked all night until Sunday afternoon and made his final touch to his guitar-tracks...

Day 10 - Sunday the 1st of December -2300
Eystein recorded his last guitars and Espen H recorded more bass. The drums/guitars/bass are now more or less ready, and tomorrow Vibeke will start recording vocals...

Day 11 - Monday the 2nd of December 1000-2300
Finally something is going smoother than expected... Vibeke recorded the vocals on 4 songs today! Siv Lena also started recording.

Day 12 - Tuesday the 3rd of December
More vocals and violin. Siv Lena has finished 2 songs.

Day 13 - Wednesday the 4th of December
Steinar Aardal, the first vocalist in Lumsk (about 2 years ago) joined us today to do the male vocals on "Slepp meg", "Ormin lange" and "Olafs belti".

Day 14 - Thursday the 5th of December
Siv Lena also plays in a folkmusic group, "Mats & brudarna". Today they recorded one track for us, this is going to be a big suprise for you all!

Day 15 - Monday the 16th of December
After 10 days off we are finally back in business. We still have a lot to do... Siv Lena recorded 4 songs today!
Espen G started recording the vocals on "I lytinne två".

Day 16 - Tuesday the 17th of December
Siv Lena recorded more violins.

Day 17 - Wednesday the 18th of December
Siv Lena finished recording her violins today! In the afternoon we brought in 5 guys from a local choir to sing on "Skip under lide" and "Høyre du Åsmund Fregdegjævar?"

Day 18 - Thursday the 19th of December
Our songs have constantly been going through changes the last 3 years, and they still are... We soon realised that something had to be done with "Det er ingin dage" as it was far too cosy. Espen G suggested removing the accoustic guitars and replace the synth with a real chuch-organ, and so we did! We are also doubtful about the choir-version of "Høyre du Åsmund Fregdegjævar?" so we asked Steinar Aardal to sing this song alone today. Time will tell which version we will use... Steinar also did the vocals on "I lytinne två" so we will probably combine his and Espen Gs vocals. In the evening Vibeke re-recorded the vocals on "I trollehender" and "Kampen mot bergetrolli".

Day 19 - Friday the 20th of December
As we prefer using original instruments instead of synths when possible, we decided to get more help for "Hår som spunnid gull", a cello, flute and a contrabass! This was really successful and as they all were very professional and used less time than expected we decided to replace some synthlines from other songs as well. We used all three on "Olavs belti" and that turned out really good! We also added some flute on "Ormin lange".

Day 20 - Saturday the 21st of December
Last night we got Espen Gs Hammond organ and Leslie. He recorded quite a few tracks with it and we will decide later what to use. Today we made the final touch on the guitars, bass, synths and vocals.

Day 21 - Sunday the 22nd of December
Everything is now recorded, so today we started mixing the album.

Day 27 - Thursday the 2nd of January
The whole band listened to the mix done by Espen and Bjørnar during christmas.
Håkon Grav from "Scream Magazine" visited us and made a studio-report for their february-edition.

Day 28 - Friday the 3rd of January
Our album is now finished. It will be mastered in "Finnvox Studios" in January and released on April the 21st.
